PCR Amplification of a Segment of Bacteriophage Lambda DNA
This laboratory invites students to take a closer look at the components of PCR. Rather than using pre-made master and primer mixes, students are responsible for adding each component into their PCR reactions. This is a good exercise to precede the PCR Optimization protocol and to explore the molecular basis of DNA replication.
