Elizabeth Doggett, Program Manager
Elizabeth coordinates BABEC’s portable lab program in San Mateo County and supports teachers by offering lab trainings and in-class assistance. Elizabeth is excited to be a part of a passionate team who is committed to bringing awesome biotech experiences to all students.
Elizabeth joined BABEC in July 2019 and has been instrumental in developing NGSS-aligned curricula for the BABEC labs. Before joining BABEC, Elizabeth taught biology and biotechnology at San Mateo High School. One of her favorite projects was collaborating with biology teachers across the district as a part of a curriculum development team. Before teaching, she worked as a professional research assistant in a lab studying a gene associated with Parkinson’s disease.
When she is not working at BABEC, Elizabeth enjoys her time by doing modern dance, traveling, reading and hiking.
Elizabeth received her BA in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from University of Colorado at Boulder and her Master’s degree in Education from Stanford University. She also has a California Teaching Credential in Biology and Chemistry.Elizabeth Doggett
