BABEC leads the Biotechnology Supply Chain Operations Project for Education (BioSCOPE), a collaborative project between several community college biotechnology programs in the San Francisco Bay Area. See more information below.
Award Description / Grant Period: Oct. 1 2023 – Sept. 30, 2026
In collaboration with Skyline College and local high schools, this project seeks to increase diversity and address the shortage of biotechnology workers by fostering interest and providing opportunities for high school students from underrepresented communities to pursue biotechnology studies through hands-on activities, internships, and mentorship programs, supported by instructional videos.
